Finn Balor returns on the Raw after WrestleMania

Though he’s been cleared for in-ring action at least since returning at a house show last month, Finn Balor made his first appearance on Raw since August on Monday night.

Balor teamed with Seth Rollins in the main event against Kevin Owens & Samoa Joe. He replaced Chris Jericho after Owens and Joe laid Jericho out in an angle on Raw, leaving new general manager Kurt Angle looking to find a new partner for Rollins.

Rollins was Balor’s opponent in his last televised match at SummerSlam in 2016. Balor became the first Universal Champion in that match, but was forced to relinquish the title on Raw the next night due to a torn labrum he suffered when Rollins powerbombed him into a barricade at SummerSlam.

Despite being cleared in time for the show, WWE made the decision to hold off on reintroducing Balor until after WrestleMania. He worked Raw’s house show loop following his return in March.
