Two of NXT’s top stars are set to take part in a dark match at tonight’s SmackDown.

John Pollock of Post Wrestling reported today that Johnny Gargano and Kyle O’Reilly are scheduled for a dark match at tonight’s SmackDown. The show is taking place at the Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana.

Gargano and O’Reilly’s contracts with WWE are both set to expire next month.

In NXT, Gargano recently started to feud with North American Champion Carmelo Hayes. Hayes & Trick Williams defeated Gargano & Dexter Lumis in the main event of this week’s NXT episode.

O’Reilly has been part of a tag team with Von Wagner since NXT was rebranded as NXT 2.0. They lost to Legado del Fantasma’s Raul Mendoza & Joaquin Wilde on NXT this Tuesday.

NXT’s Raquel Gonzalez and The Creed Brothers (Julius & Brutus Creed) appeared in dark matches prior to last week’s SmackDown. Gonzalez defeated Toni Storm, while The Creed Brothers lost to The Viking Raiders.
