Jinder Mahal returns to action on WWE Raw

Jinder Mahal was back in action on tonight’s episode of Raw.

In his first match in more than 10 months, Mahal defeated Akira Tozawa on tonight’s show. Mahal got a dominant win in his return. He overpowered Tozawa at the start, threw him into the LED board and a barricade on the outside, and got the win after hitting a Samoan drop and the Khallas.

Mahal underwent surgery in June 2019 to repair a ruptured patellar tendon. He wrote at the time: “On the mend. Ruptured my Patella Tendon in Denver Colorado June 15 in a match against @aliwwe. Happy to say surgery went well, and my knee was better than expected. This comeback is going to be legendary.”

Mahal said earlier this month that he was cleared and waiting to return.

While out of action, Mahal switched brands when he was drafted to Raw last October.

Mahal is a former WWE Champion, United States Champion, and two-time 24/7 Champion. His WWE title reign lasted for nearly six months in 2017.
