Kevin Owens undergoes surgery on both knees

Kevin Owens has undergone surgery on both of his knees.

WWE.com posted an injury update on Owens this morning, noting that he underwent successful double knee surgery yesterday. Further details on the type of surgery Owens had weren’t provided. The article stated that “no timetable has been released for KO’s return.”

Dave Meltzer reported last week that the severity of Owens’ knee issues wouldn’t be known until he went in for surgery.

Owens tweeted a picture after having surgery and wrote: “They had a 2 for 1 sale going at the surgery store!”

Owens was written off television in an angle where Bobby Lashley turned heel on the October 8 episode of Raw. Lashley defeated Owens and then continued to attack his knee after the match. Owens also had to be replaced in Mixed Match Challenge season two, with Bobby Roode being announced as Natalya’s new partner for the tournament.
