King’s Court with Trish Stratus set for WWE SmackDown

It appears that the build to Charlotte Flair vs. Trish Stratus will officially kick off on Tuesday’s SmackDown.

Jerry Lawler sent out a tweet today announcing that he’ll be hosting a “King’s Court” segment with Stratus on the episode: “This Tuesday night on @WWE Smackdown Live from Memphis, I will be hosting a King’s Court featuring my all time favorite female Superstar, @trishstratuscom!”

An interview with Charlotte aired on this week’s SmackDown, with Charlotte demanding a match at SummerSlam and saying she’s going to prove she’s the greatest female wrestler of all time. It was then confirmed that Charlotte vs. Stratus is planned for the pay-per-view.

SummerSlam is taking place at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on August 11.

Women’s Tag Team Champions The IIconics (Peyton Royce & Billie Kay) vs. Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville in a non-title match has also been set up for Tuesday’s SmackDown. There was a segment this week where Rose said she and Deville would deserve a title shot if they win.
