Kofi Kingston announces new five-year deal with WWE

On this week’s episode of The New Day’s Feel the Power podcast, Kofi Kingston confirmed that he’s signed a new contract with WWE.

Kingston revealed on the show that he “just” signed a five-year deal with WWE. He mentioned the new contract during a discussion with Big E and Xavier Woods about injuries and how they affect their daily lives.

Kingston & Big E are the current SmackDown Tag Team Champions, while Woods is out of action after undergoing surgery for a torn Achilles tendon that he suffered at a WWE house show in October.

Kingston & Big E won the titles from The Revival on SmackDown last month and retained them against The Revival in a ladder match at TLC last night.

This year saw Kingston hold the WWE Championship for six months. He won the title from Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 35 and was champion until dropping it to Brock Lesnar on SmackDown’s FOX premiere.
