Lana signs new multi-year deal with WWE

Lana is the latest WWE personality to re-sign with the company.

Pro Wrestling Sheet reported today that Lana has signed a new five-year contract with WWE. Lana also acknowledged the report by posting an in-character tweet congratulating herself on the deal: “I just signed a multi-million dollar deal with @WWE !!!!!!!!!! Congrats!”

Pro Wrestling Sheet wrote that Lana’s new deal allows her to take time off for outside projects. Their report also noted that Rusev is still in discussions with WWE regarding a new contract and hasn’t re-signed yet.

The latest development in the Rusev/Lana/Bobby Lashley storyline took place on Raw last night. After an angle where Rusev was served with a temporary restraining order before the show, he broke the restraining order, attacked Lashley, and was taken out in handcuffs. Lana did an interview later in the episode where — instead of focusing on Lashley — she said she was going to be okay after the attack.

WWE announced earlier today that Rusev will face Lashley in a last man standing match at Sunday’s one-hour Starrcade WWE Network special. Rusev vs. Lashley is also being advertised for December’s TLC pay-per-view.
