Mysterio & Hardy vs. Orton & Miz announced for WWE SmackDown

Ahead of Crown Jewel, SmackDown’s participants in the WWE World Cup tournament will face off in a tag team match.

Rey Mysterio & Jeff Hardy vs. Randy Orton & The Miz has been announced for tonight’s episode of SmackDown. All four were involved in singles matches last week, with Mysterio defeating The Miz and Orton defeating Hardy.

Mysterio vs. Orton and Hardy vs. Miz will be SmackDown’s first round matches in Friday’s World Cup tournament at Crown Jewel in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. With WWE confirming Bobby Lashley as John Cena’s replacement, Lashley vs. Seth Rollins and Kurt Angle vs. Dolph Ziggler are set for Raw’s side of the bracket.

A segment where AJ Styles will confront Daniel Bryan, a Trick or Street Fight between one member of The Bar and one member of The New Day, and Becky Lynch appearing are also advertised for tonight’s SmackDown. United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura defending his title against Tye Dillinger had been announced but is not currently listed on WWE.com’s preview.
