Nikki Cross becomes number one contender to SD Women’s title

Nikki Cross is the new number one contender to the SmackDown Women’s Championship.

Cross became the number one contender to the title by winning a six-pack challenge on tonight’s SmackDown. WWE hasn’t announced when she’ll be challenging Bayley for the SmackDown Women’s Championship.

Carmella, Lacey Evans, Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville, and Dana Brooke were also in the six-pack challenge. Cross pinned Rose to get the win.

Bayley defeated Charlotte Flair last week to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship. Bayley fully turned heel in the process, and that was furthered as she appeared on Miz TV tonight. She cut a promo about the fans not being there for her when she lost to Charlotte at Hell in a Cell.

Bayley’s promo was interrupted by Cross before the six-pack challenge got started.

Cross was originally drafted to Raw last week, but WWE later announced that she and Alexa Bliss had been traded to SmackDown for “considerations for future draft picks down the line.”
