Piper Niven vs. Rhea Ripley set for next week’s NXT UK
Piper Niven and Rhea Ripley are set to face off on next week’s episode of NXT UK.
WWE had Johnny Saint post a tweet confirming Niven vs. Ripley for next week: “I can’t ignore the fights that @RheaRipley_WWE and @viperpiperniven have gotten into over recent weeks; so if they want it, they got it! Next week it will be Niven vs Ripley II on #NXTUK!”
Niven and Ripley have had one singles match against each other, with Niven getting the win. On the NXT UK episode from three weeks ago, there was an angle where Niven and Ripley brawled to the back while Niven & Xia Brookside were facing Jazzy Gabert & Jinny.
Ripley confronting NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler aired on last night’s NXT US episode.
Next week’s NXT UK episode is the post-UK TakeOver: Cardiff edition of the show. The matches for it will presumably be taped prior to Saturday’s TakeOver special. NXT UK also has tapings in Cardiff on Sunday.
