Randy Orton segment announced for WWE Raw

The fallout from last week’s Edge-Randy Orton angle is scheduled for tonight’s episode of Raw.

WWE has announced that Orton will address his actions from last Monday on Raw tonight. Last week’s show closed with Orton attacking Edge and hitting a con-chair-to to his head.

WWE also issued a storyline update on Edge’s condition after the attack angle. It was said that a “family spokesperson” has confirmed that Edge is now home, has begun the recovery process, and is waiting for the results of a battery of tests. WWE noted that Edge will update his condition early next week.

After returning to the ring at the Royal Rumble, Edge cut a promo in the main event segment of last week’s Raw. He was interrupted by Orton, who proposed reuniting their Rated RKO team. Before Edge could give him an answer, Orton laid him out with an RKO.

Orton then hit Edge with a steel chair and wrapped his head around it. Orton went up to the middle rope, but he looked conflicted and seemed to have decided against continuing the attack. But he then got two chairs and gave Edge a con-chair-to.

Edge had eliminated Orton in the men’s Royal Rumble match the previous night. The story was that Edge and Orton were working together, but Edge caught Orton about to turn against him.

Edge vs. Orton is planned for WrestleMania 36.

Tonight’s Raw is taking place at the Vivint Smart Home Arena in Salt Lake City, Utah. The city is dealing with a significant snowstorm, but the arena wrote that Raw is planned to go on as scheduled
