Raw ratings drop a bit for this week’s episode

Raw fell from last week’s high mark of 3.11 million viewers to 2.97 million viewers. The number was still above what the show had been doing most of the fall.

The drop is largely due to a decrease each hour as last week’s first hour and this week’s first hour started out almost identical. But last week the show maintained the audience much stronger in hours two and three, even against a far more widely-viewed NFL game.

The Colts vs. Jets NFL game was only seen by 8.09 million viewers, a very low mark, down from 13.06 million the week before, so if anything, the Raw numbers should have been up based on competition.

The news shows were also down, as Raw finished third for the night on cable, behind only the football game and The O’Reilly Factor (3.76 million viewers), beating news shows as well as SportsCenter that have beaten it most of the fall.

The three hours were:

8 p.m. 3.15 million
9 p.m. 2.98 million
10 p.m. 2.80 million
