Roman Reigns to kick off Monday’s WWE Raw

Roman Reigns will be kicking off this week’s episode of Raw.

Reigns sent out a tweet today announcing that he’ll be appearing at the start of tomorrow’s show. Responding to WWE’s in-storyline statement that claimed he won’t be able to appear on the episode due to his obligations as a SmackDown wrestler, Reigns wrote: “Just have my music ready. I’ll be kicking things off on #Raw right at 8pm.”

Raw is going against two NBA playoff games this week, with the Milwaukee Bucks vs. Boston Celtics starting at 7 p.m. Eastern time and the Golden State Warriors vs. Houston Rockets starting at 9:30 p.m. Eastern. Last Monday’s Raw averaged 2,158,000 viewers, which is the record low for a non-holiday episode of the show.

SmackDown was supposed to have a house show in Corbin, Kentucky tomorrow night, but that event has been postponed to Thursday, October 17.

Reigns moved to SmackDown in the Superstar Shake-up. He tweeted yesterday that he would be appearing in Monday’s Raw, with WWE then furthering the angle with their statement.
