Roman Reigns vs. Baron Corbin added to WWE Royal Rumble

King Corbin and Roman Reigns will battle at the Royal Rumble, prior to the match itself.

The match was made tonight on SmackDown. Corbin came out prior to his and Ziggler’s match against The Usos and said that Roman was hiding in the Royal Rumble match, afraid to face him. Roman, who was with the Usos in the ring, replied by saying he would face Corbin prior to the Royal Rumble match. Corbin accepted.

The main event of tonight’s SmackDown eventually ended up in a disqualification when Roman speared Corbin on the outside. Corbin made a comeback and with the help of Ziggler and a returning Robert Roode, put Reigns through the announce table to end the show.

The two have been feuding for a number of weeks. At one point, Corbin (with the help of Dolph Ziggler) attacked Roman, handcuffed him to the ring and poured dog food all over him. The two ended up facing one another at TLC in December, where Baron Corbin pinned Roman Reigns with the help of Dolph Ziggler and The Revival.

This year’s Royal Rumble will take place at Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas on January 26.
