Rousey & Natalya vs. Banks & Bayley announced for WWE Raw
Ahead of their title match at the Royal Rumble, Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey and Sasha Banks will be facing off in a tag match on Monday’s go-home edition of Raw.
WWE has announced Rousey & Natalya vs. Banks & Bayley for Monday’s Raw. Rousey & Banks teamed together on this week’s show, defeating Nia Jax & Tamina when Banks submitted Tamina with the Banks Statement. There was a post-match angle where Banks got offended by Rousey saying that a victory over Banks would be her greatest accomplishment as champion. Banks said it will be her pleasure to teach Rousey how to lose with class.
Natalya & Bayley also teamed together this Monday, with Natalya, Bayley & Nikki Cross defeating The Riott Squad (Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan & Sarah Logan) in a six-woman tag match. There was a backstage segment earlier in the show where Natalya took Rousey’s side and Bayley took Banks’ side in their argument before being interrupted by The Riott Squad.
Banks was confirmed as Rousey’s challenger for the Royal Rumble when she defeated Jax in a number one contender’s match earlier this month.
Monday’s go-home episode of Raw is taking place at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
