Seth Rollins makes surprise appearance at NXT house show

With NXT coming to his hometown for a house show, Universal Champion Seth Rollins made a surprise appearance at Friday night’s event.

Rollins cut an in-ring promo for the crowd at the RiverCenter in Davenport, Iowa. Rollins brought the Universal title out with him and talked about defeating Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania. Rollins said that when he was in NXT, he never could have imagined having a show in Davenport.

After the appearance, Rollins was interviewed by WWE. He said the whole segment was surreal.

There are no main roster house shows this weekend because next Friday (May 3) was originally planned to be the date for WWE’s return to Saudi Arabia. The next Saudi Arabia show has yet to be officially announced but is scheduled for June 7.

Rollins will defend the Universal Championship against AJ Styles at Money in the Bank in Hartford, Connecticut on May 19.
