Sin Cara undergoes surgery to remove scar tissue in knee

Sin Cara is currently out of action after undergoing knee surgery on Tuesday.

After Sin Cara posted that he was in Birmingham, Alabama yesterday, WWE.com confirmed that he underwent surgery at the Andrews Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Center last night. WWE noted that Sin Cara sensed that something was wrong with his right knee over the weekend, with surgery being done to remove scar tissue that was affecting his performance.

WWE.com also wrote that there’s no timetable for when Sin Cara will be able to return to the ring. He tweeted out a picture today marking his first day of recovering from the surgery.

Sin Cara last wrestled on television during his feud with Andrade “Cien” Almas. Almas defeated him on the July 10 episode of SmackDown and also won their rematch on the Extreme Rules pre-show. Sin Cara had been wrestling on house shows since their feud came to an end.
