US title rematch, Rusev-Lana divorce segment set for WWE Raw
A United States Championship rematch is set for Monday’s episode of Raw.
A commercial that aired during last night’s SmackDown announced that United States Champion Rey Mysterio will defend his title against former champion AJ Styles on Monday night. Another advertisement later in the show announced a segment where Rusev and Lana will get divorced on Raw.
Mysterio won the US title from Styles on the post-Survivor Series edition of Raw. This Monday, The O.C. (Styles, Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson) defeated Mysterio, Ricochet & Humberto Carrillo in a six-man tag main event. Styles pinned Ricochet to get the win, then the show ended with Randy Orton laying out Styles with an RKO.
Styles vs. Carrillo had originally been advertised for the Raw where Mysterio won the US title. After The O.C. attacked Carrillo, Mysterio defeated Ricochet, Orton, and Drew McIntyre in a fatal four-way number one contender’s match. Mysterio then immediately got his title shot against Styles.
The Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina is hosting Monday’s Raw.
