VIDEO: New commercial for WWE SmackDown’s move to FOX

A new commercial has been released to promote SmackDown’s upcoming move to FOX.

The theme for the commercial is “We’re All Superstars.” It features actors portraying everyday people and imitating wrestlers from the past and present, along with a couple clips of celebrities/athletes. The ad was first tweeted out by Steve Austin, who makes an appearance at the start of it:

The commercial ends with the new Friday Night SmackDown logo being revealed.

There will be three more ads in the “We’re All Superstars” campaign.

The premiere of SmackDown on FOX will take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California on Friday, October 4. The theme of the episode is SmackDown’s 20th anniversary celebration. Brock Lesnar, Kurt Angle, Lita, Mick Foley, Booker T, Hulk Hogan, Trish Stratus, Goldberg, Jerry “The King” Lawler, Mark Henry, Ric Flair, and Sting are advertised for the episode.

SmackDown’s move to FOX was first reported in May 2018. It’s a five-year deal, with the show airing live on Friday nights.

The “We’re All Superstars” campaign will be promoted across FOX’s sports programming starting tonight and tomorrow.
