WWE 205 Live tournament finals set for next week

Tony Nese and Cedric Alexander will square off in the finals of the 205 Live #1 contender's tournament next week.

Nese and Alexander both won semifinal matches tonight to advance to next week’s finals. Alexander and Oney Lorcan had a hard hitting affair to open this week's show, but Lorcan took too long to finish Alexander. While Lorcan was on offense, Alexander suddenly blocked him and laid him out with the lumbar check for the win.

Nese meanwhile battled Drew Gulak, who had the advantage on him near the end of the match with the Gu-lock. Nese battled through, using the ropes for leverage and managed to hop over Gulak, covering him to advance.

The winner of the match next week will face Buddy Murphy for the Cruiserweight title at WrestleMania 35. Murphy has been absent from the show in the last few weeks, instead sending in videos. This week, he said it didn’t matter who would end up winning the tournament as there’s no stopping the unstoppable.
