WWE Raw ratings down four percent from last week

Last night’s Raw, which was the next to last episode before WrestleMania, did 2.59 million viewers. That’s a drop of four percent from last week

The number was down 23 percent from the equivalent show two weeks out from WrestleMania last year.

Raw was sixth for the night on cable in terms of total viewers, while the same show one year ago was first.

The show started lower than it has done in recent weeks, but aside from those over the age of 50, the drops in viewers from hour one to hour three were less pronounced than in recent weeks.

The show also had no significant sports competition and beat everything on cable except news shows on Fox News.

The show had a format change experiment to more matches, but much shorter matches.

The three hours were:

  • 8 p.m. 2.70 million viewers
  • 9 p.m. 2.67 million viewers
  • 10 p.m. 2.40 million viewers
