WWE Raw ratings get a post-Royal Rumble bump

Full details aren’t available at this time regarding the WWE’s ratings from Monday night, but as expected, Raw increased significantly with the day after the Royal Rumble show. The episode did about 3.61 million viewers, up ten percent from last week.

Last week’s go-home edition of Raw averaged 3.29 million viewers, which was up slightly from the 3.26 million the show did the week before.

The promotion of Triple H’s return during the show didn’t stop the third hour from being the least watched, but it did manage to minimize the decline.

The three hours were:

  • 8 p.m. 3.63 million viewers
  • 9 p.m. 3.64 million viewers
  • 10 p.m. 3.57 million viewers

For a comparison, last year’s day after Rumble show did 4.09 million viewers, so it was a 12 percent year-to-year decline. That show was up 18 percent from the week before, and was bolstered by an appearance by Dwayne Johnson.
