WWE SmackDown video highlights: Stomping Grounds go-home show

WWE finished building to Stomping Grounds on last night’s go-home edition of SmackDown.

The Universal and WWE Champions teamed up in the main event, with Seth Rollins & Kofi Kingston defeating Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn in a two-out-of-three falls match. Rollins & Kingston won the match in two straight falls.

Rollins will defend the Universal Championship against Baron Corbin on Sunday (with a special guest referee that has yet to be announced), while Kingston will defend the WWE Championship against Dolph Ziggler in a steel cage match.

SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley is set to defend her title against Alexa Bliss at Stomping Grounds. Bayley appeared on A Moment of Bliss last night, with Bliss claiming that Bayley’s persona is a facade. The segment ended with Bliss punching Bayley after Nikki Cross pulled Bayley off of Bliss during a brawl.

Also on SmackDown, Ziggler took on Xavier Woods, The Miz teamed with R-Truth against Drew McIntyre & Elias in an elimination match, and it was confirmed that Daniel Bryan & Rowan will defend their Tag Team titles against Heavy Machinery at Stomping Grounds.
