WWE’s Kevin Owens sidelined with ankle injury

In a recent interview with Canadian sports network RDS, Kevin Owens revealed that he may have suffered either a slight fracture or sprain to his ankle and was set to recently undergo X-rays to determine the severity of the injury.

The injury was suffered during his WrestleMania 36 match with Seth Rollins in which he jumped off the Mania sign onto Rollins while he was laid out on a table.

Owens, who will turn 36 this week, also said that he is spending time with his family during the coronavirus pandemic instead of participating in the company’s taping schedule at the Performance Center in Florida.

“The great thing about WWE is that it doesn’t require us to be there if we don’t want to. This is also why in the last two weeks I have not been present because I preferred to be at home with my family,” Owens said.

Owens hasn’t been on Raw since a taped promo aired on the post-WrestleMania edition of the show.
