AEW’s Bryan Danielson expected to miss 1-2 weeks due to injury

Following last Sunday’s physically brutal Anarchy in the Arena match at Double or Nothing, AEW’s Bryan Danielson is expected to miss the next one-to-two weeks of action due to injury.

Danielson pulled out of a Sunday meet & greet event in New Bedford, Massachusetts. According to a Fightful report, a staff member told a fan that Danielson was injured and unable to fly which they independently verified.

Our Bryan Alvarez said two sources provided the timeframe and said that while Danielson was hurt in the aforementioned match, it doesn’t appear to be anything serious. It’s unknown what the injury is.

Danielson passed out in the match while Chris Jericho had him in the Walls of Jericho as Jake Hager choked him out with a ring rope, giving Jericho Appreciation Society the win in the first-ever such AEW match of its kind. He didn’t appear on AEW TV this past week.

Danielson’s Blackpool Combat Club partner Jon Moxley will be in action this Wednesday as he competes for a slot in the interim World title match at this month’s Forbidden Door pay-per-view while Wheeler Yuta should return imminently following the wrap of NJPW’s Best of the Super Juniors tournament.
