AEW to honor legendary wrestling family at Redemption in Montreal

AEW Redemption 2026

The Rougeau family will be honored when AEW Redemption takes place in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

During an interview with Bill Apter published on Wednesday, Jacques Rougeau said that he received a call from QT Marshall saying that AEW would like to pay tribute to the family at the July 26 pay-per-view.

“QT called me up and he asked me if Raymond and I would like to go to the Bell Centre.”

“He says they would like to honor the Rougeau family, the four generations. And so they’re going to have something. I don’t know what they’re going to have.”

He continued:

“I’ve had a few sleepless nights lately because I’m so excited.”

“I’m so happy. I wish my uncle Johnny and my dad who died and my great uncle would see this moment.”

Jacques said he hopes the segment will air live on the pay-per-view.

He continued to talk about himself and Raymond being honored at the AEW show in the context of never having been inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

“WWE, unfortunately, they don’t talk about the Rougeaus anymore. And unfortunately they never put us in the Hall of Fame, which I was bitter about for many years.”

He later added:

“And now AEW is coming to Montreal honoring the Rougeau family worldwide. That’s such a weight off my shoulder and when I talked to Raymond about it I saw the sparkle in his eye. He was so happy for the recognition for our family.”
