Willow Nightingale announced for first TJPW match in more than a year

After more than a year, Willow Nightingale is on her way back to TJPW.

In a recent social media update on X (formerly known as Twitter), Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling, aka, TJPW, announced that Nightingale will face Mizuki in a singles match on July 18 at TJPW Summer Sun Princess.

On Saturday, July 18, Korakuen Hall’s ‘SUMMER SUN PRINCESS ’26’ will feature ‘The Babe with the Power’ Willow Nightingale from AEW making her return to Japan! She’s back in TJPW after 1 year and 4 months! A must-watch dream match against Mizuki has been confirmed!” the post read (translated from Japanese).

Nightingale’s last TJPW match dates back to her win over Miu Watanabe at TJPW Grand Princess ’25 in March 2025.

Willow Nightingale to challenge for the AEW Women’s World title

A few weeks ago, Nightingale was ruled out of action with an injury and had to relinquish her AEW TBS Championship. The TBS title was recently won by Hikaru Shida on last week’s Dynamite.

After weeks of absence, Nightingale made her return on the latest edition of AEW Dynamite Beach Break, where she won the Casino Gauntlet match to earn a Women’s World title shot at Redemption.
