AJ Styles’ son set to make GCW debut
Like father, like son. AJ Styles’ son, Avery, is now scheduled to make his GCW debut later this month.
Son of WWE and TNA Hall of Famer AJ Styles, Avery Styles also recently took up wrestling and trademarked his in-ring name. Styles’ son recently made his pro-wrestling debut against Ashton Martin at SCA Wrestling’s Freedom Fling event hosted at the Royston Dome in Royston, Georgia. Now, just days after his in-ring debut, Avery Styles has been booked for his GCW debut.
On social media, Game Changer Wrestling (GCW) announced that Avery Styles will make his GCW debut on July 31, 2026, in Omaha, NE. He is also scheduled to compete on the August 1 GCW event in Minneapolis. However, no opponents were announced for either of his appearances.
AJ Styles reacts to son’s pro-wrestling debut
Shortly after Avery Styles’ in-ring debut in Royston, Georgia, father AJ Styles opened up on his Phenomenally Retro podcast and reacted to the match.
“I don’t think they disappointed anyone whatsoever,” Styles said. “Ashton Martin, Avery Styles, it was the main event. Listen, dude, I’ve never been so impressed with two young guys. I mean, they’re young. I think Ashton’s maybe a year, a year and a half in. And then of course, this is Avery’s debut match. And there’s a lot of things that we do with all this energy when we have that young energy that is — we use it in the wrong way. They used it really, really well. They didn’t rush through anything. They took their time on things they should have,” Styles said. He also pinpointed a specific spot in the match and claimed it was better than his.
