Rey Mysterio provides Octagon Jr. injury update on AAA on Fox

Rey Mysterio has shared an injury update on Octagon Jr. during the latest episode of AAA on Fox.

Toward the closing moments of the July 18 episode of AAA on Fox, General Manager Rey Mysterio hosted a press conference, where he shared an injury update on Octagon Jr.

The WWE Hall of Famer confirmed that the former Latin American Champion suffered a neck injury. He further shared that he has a long recovery and rehab ahead of him.

A few months ago, in May 2026, Octagon Jr. was injured at Noche de Los Grandes and was stretchered out following a top rope botch.

The botch took place when Octagon Jr. faced Cruz Del Toro, Joaquin Wilde, Lince Dorado, and Mini Vikingo at Noche de Los Grandes Night Two taping on June 6, 2026. Later, Bryan Alvarez shared an update on the injury.
