Octagon Jr. provides update following injury
Octagon Jr. is thanking fans following a recent injury.
During the AAA Noche de los Grandes tapings a couple of weeks ago, Octagon was injured after landing on his head after taking a tornado DDT from Joaquin Wilde. In a new social media post, the AAA star wrote he appreciated the support and promised to back stronger, showing a photo of himself wearing a neck brace in a hospital room.
“THANK YOU VERY MUCH! to @wwe @luchalibreaaa all the fans, friends, fighters and all the staff who have been keeping up with the situation I have been living and who have shown me their support in its entirety in this episode of my life, I want to give a very special thank you to Doctor Orozco who was watching over my day, afternoon, night and his team who from the very beginning treated me as if I were his son,” he wrote (via Instagram’s translation).
“And thank you so much to the family that has been at the foot of the canyon and I feel so blessed to have the love and support of my wife who does not hesitate to take the first flight to be with me seeing that this was very bad..Thank you God for this opportunity, I will come back stronger than ever,” he added.
A later report revealed that Octagon is likely to be out several months as a result of the injury, but according to Bryan Alvarez it “could have been much worse.”
Octagon Jr. has continued to wrestle for AAA since WWE purchased the company last year. Most notably, he wrestled at last year’s Money in the Bank, losing to Dominik Mysterio in a match that was for the Intercontinental title.
