Tom Brady reportedly in ‘ongoing conversations’ with WWE
Tom Brady, considered by many to be the greatest quarterback in NFL history, could have WWE in his future.
There were rumors regarding a Brady appearance at WrestleMania 42, but that did not end up happening. Speculation has now picked up again after Brady slapped Logan Paul at Fanatics Fest over the weekend and then got into it with Paul again at the World Cup final. The two have been building up an apparent angle for a while dating back to when they were promoting a flag football game earlier this year.
Following the Brady-Paul interactions, TMZ Sports published a report noting that Brady and WWE are having “ongoing conversations.”
“TMZ Sports has learned there are ongoing conversations between the 7x Super Bowl-winning quarterback and World Wrestling Entertainment — meaning TB12 could soon find himself staring down his WWE Superstar rival in the ring, mano a mano,” the report said.
Whether Brady would have an actual match or just get physically involved remains to be seen, but the New England Patriots legend sounds open to the possibility of at least one match based on comments he made on Cody Rhodes’ podcast at Fanatics Fest.
Brady is friends with Michael Rubin, the owner of Fanatics. Rubin’s company is WWE’s merchandise partner and has deals with all of the top American sports leagues.
Tom Brady’s post-NFL career —
Since retiring from football, Brady has become an NFL announcer for Fox and taken on a minority stake in the Las Vegas Raiders. An appearance at WrestleMania in 2025 or 2026 would have made sense given that both shows were held at the Raiders’ home stadium.
Brady traveling to Saudi Arabia for WrestleMania 43 in 2027 would also seem to be possible given that the Fanatics Flag Football game he and Paul were involved with was originally supposed to be held in Saudi Arabia before moving to Los Angeles after the start of the Iran war.
