Logan Paul wanted to fight Conor McGregor after UFC 329
Despite his status as a WWE wrestler, Logan Paul recently wanted to fight Conor McGregor after his UFC 329 return.
McGregor returned to MMA after a span of five years at UFC 329 against Max Holloway. However, his run came up short after he suffered an ACL and meniscus injury just seconds into the match. The fight was soon stopped, and Holloway was declared the winner.
On the latest episode of his ImPaulsive podcast, Paul opened up about McGregor’s current situation and reflected on asking his “bosses” about fighting McGregor.
“Something I find so funny: he definitely has roasted the WWE and WWE superstars in the past. He put out a tweet dissing Roman Reigns; the Roman Reigns tweet was recently. At the moment, Conor [McGregor] is doing WWE. He is incapable of fighting,” Paul said.
“I don’t think WWE will let me fight anyone. I’ll be honest, I texted my boss after Conor lost. I was like, ‘Bro, Conor is cooked, do something with it. Make a bag, let me fight him. Big WWE star versus big WWE star, cause that’s what he is now. He said that he thinks he’s done.”
While McGregor is ruled out with an injury, Logan Paul is also recovering from a torn triceps injury, which he sustained a few months ago while wrestling The Street Profits.
Logan Paul shares injury update
A few days ago, Paul opened up in detail on his YouTube vlog about his triceps injury and his WWE return expectations.
“Look at this, bro. (Moves his arm) You see this? (Paul says it’s not supposed to be like this yet) What do you mean, bro? I’m Wolverine. I heal fast. … No, but look at it seriously, it’s good, right? (Paul says he’s three months ahead) Yeah, I am. I’m three months ahead, bro.”
As of now, there are no confirmed updates on the former United States Champion’s in-ring return.
