Next International title challenger decided at AEW Redemption, match set for Grand Slam Mexico

Six-way ladder match at AEW Redemption

“Speedball” Mike Bailey experienced a moment he will never forget at Sunday’s AEW Redemption, earning a future International title shot in the opener of the pay-per-view.

Bailey, a Laval native often billed from Montreal, picked up the win in a six-way ladder match, grabbing the contract hung above the ring after delivering his Ultima Weapon to The Beast Mortos while he was laid out on a ladder.

The match was a spectacle as expected with plenty of ladder and table spots. First announced on Wednesday, it also included El Clon, Jack Perry, Komander and Nick Wayne.

It was also announced Sunday that Bailey will challenge Kyle Fletcher for the title at next month’s Grand Slam Mexico after Fletcher defeated Bandido Sunday in a title defense.

It will be their third-ever singles bout in AEW. Bailey won the first in last December’s Continental Classic while Fletcher defended his then-TNT title this past March.
