YouTube TV integrates with ESPN Unlimited ahead of WWE SummerSlam
A day many YouTube TV subscribers have waited for has arrived as they can now link their subscription with ESPN Unlimited, giving them no cost access to the premium service which includes monthly WWE premium live events.
The news came out Monday evening, first reported by CordCutters, and at the perfect time for WWE with two nights of SummerSlam coming up this weekend.
YouTube TV was the last major service that carries ESPN that had not integrated after Xfinity made a deal last year. TKO head Mark Shapiro had spoken previously about their eagerness to see the deal done as it would open up access to potentially a lot more viewers for WWE PLEs — a key promotional component of the ESPN Unlimited launch last September.
Third party reports have the estimated YouTube TV subscriber base at ten million with the streaming service set to become the largest pay TV provider in the country by 2027, besting Charter and Comcast.
