Liv Morgan acknowledges issue with 100-day Women’s World Championship reign

Liv Morgan crossed the 100 day mark as Women’s World Champion. However, she has not defended the title within the timeframe which led to speculation from wrestling fans.

In a humorous backstage video shared on social media, CJ Perry held the World Championship belt with Morgan acknowledging the lack of defenses despite the milestone.

“My 100th day as champion. Zero days defending. Because I’m that iconic, you don’t need to defend sh*t.”

Morgan participated in the Queen of the Ring Tournament designed to find her potential opponent for SummerSlam. She faced IYO SKY in the finals at Night of Champions and SKY chose to face her at SummerSlam for the World Championship.

Morgan defeated Stephanie Vaquer at WrestleMania to win her third Women’s World Title reign.

Her fellow Judgment Day teammate, Dominik Mysterio will also compete at SummerSlam against Danhausen in a Human Monies on a Pole match. The winner will get to keep the $100,000 the group insists Danhausen ‘stole’ from them to ‘uncurse’ their bad luck.

The PLE will take place on August 1 and 2 at the U.S Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
