First three matches announced for TNA Lockdown card
The all-cage match TNA Lockdown pay-per-view got its first three matches on Thursday’s Impact including two title defenses and a grudge match.
Announced by Santino Marella, TNA Tag Team Champions Matt & Jeff Hardy will put their titles up against former champions Nic & Ryan Nemeth. The two teams feuded over the titles in 2025 with the Nemeths ending the Hardys’ 183-day run before they lost the titles back to the Hardys 84 days later.
After losing the title to him back in May, former X-Division Champion Leon Slater will get his rematch against reigning titleholder Cedric Alexander. Slater and Ricky Sosa defeated Alexander and Eddie Edwards to open Thursday’s show with Slater pinning Alexander to win, issuing the challenge afterward.
After a backstage confrontation, AJ Francis vs. Elijah was also added to the PPV lineup.
Lockdown first took place in 2005 and existed as an annual event through 2016.
