WWE announces name of Texas Lucha Libre AAA event

We now know some more information about the event Lucha Libre AAA is presenting in Edinburg, Texas on August 30.

On the same day as AEW All In 2026 (taking place from Wembley Stadium in London), WWE will have a doubleheader in Texas. Bert Ogden Arena is hosting shows from AAA and NXT that day. The name of the AAA event is “Ola De Calor” (Heatwave — the same name as the NXT PLE), which was announced when AAA revealed the official poster today.

AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio, El Grande Americano, La Catalina, Penta, Rey Fenix, and AAA general manager Rey Mysterio are included on the poster. The event has a 12 p.m. Eastern start time, streaming live on Fox in Latin America and on YouTube and Facebook elsewhere.

This event is happening in advance of Triplemania 2026, a two-night event set for September 11 and September 13 in Las Vegas and Mexico City. Triplemania will be headlined by Dominik defending the Mega title against Americano (Ludwig Kaiser).

NXT Heatwave —

Heatwave’s start time is 3 p.m. Eastern, with that show airing on The CW in the United States and on Netflix everywhere else. NXT Champion Tony D’Angelo, NXT Women’s Champion Kendal Grey, Cruz Montana, Nattie, and Kelani Jordan are on the Heatwave poster.
