Royce Keys ‘out indefinitely’ following last week’s WWE Raw attack, further details

Royce Keys

After being attacked by Jacob Fatu at the end of last week’s WWE Raw, Royce Keys is out of action indefinitely.

Michael Cole announced the news on Monday’s show, saying that Keys suffered both a bruised larynx and cervical strain at the hands of Fatu following their street fight that main evented last week. After taking a hip attack with a chair, Keys was later stretchered out after the show ended, shared on WWE’s YouTube account.

However, the injury appears to be just storyline as our Dave Meltzer reported in last week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that it was just an angle and “not an injury cover angle.”

The 41-year-old signed with WWE this past January debuting at the Royal Rumble, making his TV debut more than two months later on SmackDown. The Fatu loss came two days after he, LA Knight and Solo Sikoa defeated Fatu and The Usos in a trios bout at SummerSlam Saturday.
