Abadon returns on Dynamite, signs with AEW

AEW continues to deepen their female roster with Wednesday night’s announcement that Abadon has signed with the company.

The horror movie inspired talent made her return on Wednesday’s Dynamite and picked up a quick win over Anna Jay. Shortly afterward, AEW made the signing official on Twitter.

Her debut was a March defeat to Hikaru Shida on AEW Dark in Denver, CO, apparently catching the promotion’s eye for this current opportunity. She made her name in local indie Rocky Mountain Pro as a two-time women’s champion.

“The Living Dead Girl” joins a division that has opportunities available. Recent injuries to Britt Baker and Kris Statlander will keep both out for some time while several others are unable to fly to the U.S. due to pandemic related travel restrictions.

Shida is the division’s champion, having recently defeated Nyla Rose for the belt. Shida will next face and defend against Penelope Ford at Fyter Fest.
