AEW Revolution date being moved, two March dates under consideration

According to Dave Meltzer in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the date of AEW’s first pay-per-view of 2021 is being moved.

Originally set for February 27th, Meltzer said new dates being considered for Revolution are either Saturday, March 6th or Sunday, March 7th at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida.

One reason Meltzer gave was a Jake Paul PPV possibly being scheduled for February 27th, but the YouTube star said this week he is fighting next on April 17th.

Only one match has been announced thus far which will feature the return of Sting in a tag team street fight alongside TNT Champion Darby Allin against Ricky Starks and Brian Cage of Team Taz. It’s expected that will be a cinematic match given the WCW legend’s physical condition.

Last year’s inaugural edition of Revolution was held at the Wintrust Arena in Chicago, Illinois, and was headlined by Jon Moxley defeating Chris Jericho for the AEW World title.
