AEW Tag Team title matches set for next Dynamite, Fyter Fest

The next two shots at the AEW tag team titles have been spoken for.

On Wednesday’s Dynamite, Kip Sabian and Jimmy Havoc defeated SCU, earning themselves a shot at champions Kenny Omega and Hangman Page on next week’s show. The duo (3-1 since they started teaming up) won when they hit their combination Michinoku driver/dropkick combo on Scorpio Sky.

As the match closed, Excalibur announced that whoever comes out of next week’s match as champions will defend against Best Friends at Fyter Fest. The show doesn’t have a date as of this writing, but already has AEW World Champion Jon Moxley vs. Brian Cage headlining.

Chuck Taylor and Trent are on a six-match winning streak dating back to early April and earned the shot with a win over Private Party at Double or Nothing.

Since defeating SCU for the titles on the Jericho Cruise in January, Page and Omega are 3-0 but haven’t defended the titles since beating the Young Bucks at February’s Revolution pay-per-view due to the pandemic.
