CM Punk on commentary, Danielson promo set for AEW Dynamite

CM Punk and Bryan Danielson will be back on this Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite debut in Newark, New Jersey.

Punk will be on commentary, but they didn’t specify whether it will be for one match or the whole show.

On last Wednesday’s show, he and Tazz got into a verbal confrontation with Tazz telling him to not look the way of any of his guys for his next opponent. Punk said he wasn’t scared of the challenge of any of his crew.

Bryan Danielson will also be on the show to address AEW World Champion Kenny Omega. Last Wednesday, he went face-to-face with the champion, challenged him and was about to put him in the LeBell Lock only for the The Elite to give him a beatdown. Danielson was saved by Jurassic Express, Christian Cage and Frankie Kazarian.

Also announced earlier Monday: Dan Lambert and Men of the Year (Ethan Page and Scorpio Sky) have thrown out an open challenge.

Here’s the current lineup from the nearly sold-out Prudential Center:

  • Adam Cole vs. Frankie Kazarian
  • Jade Cargill vs. Leyla Hirsch
  • Darby Allin (w/ Sting) vs. Shawn Spears (w/ Tully Blanchard)
  • Minoru Suzuki and Lance Archer will issue a challenge to Jon Moxley
