CM Punk interview with Tony Schiavone set for AEW Rampage
Friday’s Halloween edition of AEW Rampage will feature an interview with one of the holiday’s biggest fans in CM Punk as he will talk with Tony Schiavone.
Punk, who turned 43 this week, is coming off a win over Bobby Fish on Wednesday’s Dynamite in Boston and is now 5-0 in his nascent AEW career.
The one-hour show on TNT will be highlighted by the first semifinal in the World title eliminator tournament as Bryan Danielson faces Eddie Kingston for the first time in a singles match since 2010. The winner will move on to the finals at November 13th’s Full Gear against either Jon Moxley or Orange Cassidy.
Danielson advanced by defeating Dustin Rhodes while Kingston beat Lance Archer in the tournament’s opening round.
Friday’s show will also see AEW Women’s Champion Britt Baker against Abadon in the company’s first-ever no DQ Trick or Treat match. If Abadon wins, she earns a future title shot.
The show’s third match will be the trilogy encounter between Dante Martin and Matt Sydal. Sydal is 2-0 against the young star, but Martin now has Lio Rush in his corner. This was originally supposed to be Rush and Martin against Sydal and his brother, Mike, before the latter got injured.
