FTR earns Tag Team title shot at AEW All Out

Three months after making their promotional debut, FTR are less than two weeks away from their first opportunity at the AEW Tag Team Titles.

On Thursday’s Dynamite, FTR won a four team tag team gauntlet, last defeating Best Friends to earn a tag team title shot at All Out against champions Kenny Omega and Hangman Page.

The Young Bucks started the gauntlet by defeating The Natural Nightmares and then were defeated by Best Friends when Page came out and held Nick Jackson’s leg, preventing a Meltzer Driver and leading to Trent rolling up Matt Jackson for the win.

FTR then defeated Best Friends when Dax Harwood submitted Chuck Taylor to earn the tag title shot. Taylor had hurt his knee against the Bucks which was part of the story of the finish.

Omega and Page have held the titles since January 21st when they defeated SCU on the Jericho Cruise edition of Dynamite to become the second-ever AEW Tag Team Champions.

All Out is scheduled for Saturday, September 5th at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida, headlined by AEW World Champion Jon Moxley vs. MJF.
