AAA’s Laredo Kid returning to MLW for November’s ‘The Restart’

MLW announced Sunday that AAA Cruiserweight Champion Laredo Kid will return to the promotion for this month’s “The Restart”.

There wasn’t much in the way of details announced other than Kid wants to unify his title with the MLW Middleweight Championship held by Myron Reed. The two faced each other in Feburary with Reed successfully defending the title.

The announcement also mentioned that AAA’s Konnan and MLW’s Court Bauer have discussed AAA title defenses being part of the restart.

MLW held TV tapings over a late-October weekend at the Gilt Nightclub in Orlando, Florida, and will resume new episodes of Fusion starting the week of Wednesday, November 18th — their first fresh TV content since March.

Kid was last seen in MLW as part of the AAA Super Series that aired on Fusion, unsuccessfully challenging National Openweight Champion Alexander Hammerstone, one of four MLW appearances he has had dating back to 2019.
