Adam Cole to make AEW in-ring debut on next week’s Dynamite

Adam Cole will make his AEW in-ring debut on next Wednesday’s Dynamite from Newark, New Jersey, as he faces Frankie Kazarian.

During a segment Wednesday where Cole made his on-screen Dynamite debut alongside The Elite, Bryan Danielson came out to confront and challenge Kenny Omega. That led to all the Elite members attacking Danielson as he went for the Yes Lock on Omega. That brought out Christian Cage, Kazarian and Jurassic Express to even the odds with Kazarian taking out Cole.

This will be Cole’s first match since his two of three falls loss to Kyle O’Reilly at August’s NXT Takeover 36.

Also announced for next week’s AEW debut at the near sold-out Prudential Center:

  • Darby Allin (w/ Sting) vs. Shawn Spears (w/ Tully Blanchard): Blanchard made the challenge in a backstage promo Wednesday, specifically calling out Sting and suggesting they should go at it one more time. Sting will address the comments on Friday’s Rampage.
  • Jade Cargill vs. Leyla Hirsch: Cargill puts her undefeated streak on the line against Hirsch who takes a four-match winning streak into next week.
