New title match confirmed for AEW Redemption
A World Tag Team title defense is now official for next weekend’s AEW Redemption.
In a social post late Thursday night, AEW confirmed that Adam Copeland & Christian Cage will defend the titles against Claudio Castagnoli & PAC of the Death Riders in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
Copeland and Cage successfully defended the gold against Wheeler Yuta and Daniel Garcia of the Death Riders on this past Wednesday’s Dynamite. Castagnoli and The Dogs were part of a post-match beatdown of Copeland and Cage afterward that also involved the Bang Bang Gang.
It will be the champions’ third defense of the titles they won at May’s Double or Nothing from FTR. Castagnoli and PAC are both looking for their first run with the titles.
