AEW All In announced for London’s Wembley Stadium
AEW’s London, England, debut has finally been revealed as the company will head overseas for the first-ever AEW All In — their first event outside North America.
However, the Sunday, August 27th event isn’t simply an arena show but a stadium show at the famed Wembley Stadium in what AEW head Tony Khan said will be one of the “biggest shows in the history of the company.”
The news was Khan’s promised big announcement and he was flanked by new signee Nigel McGuinness and Adam Cole as he made it in a pre-taped segment.
During the announcement and subsequent press release, All In never announced as a pay-per-view. With the following weekend (Labor Day in the U.S.) traditionally being when they hold their All Out pay-per-view, it’s unknown if that will still be the case.
Khan talked about how five years ago, the original All In was the biggest indie event of all time put on by “four pioneers” in Kenny Omega, the Young Bucks and Cody Rhodes.
When fans think of Wembley Stadium, the famous 1992 WWE SummerSlam in the old version of the venue immediately comes to mind — the company’s first-ever UK stadium show at that point.
WWE will be holding this July’s Money in the Bank at London’s O2 Arena.
