AEW announces three matches for Tuesday ‘Late Night Dynamite’

Matt Sydal vs. Shawn Spears will headline next Tuesday’s “Late Night Dynamite” on TNT.

The one hour special edition was originally slated to air tonight as an NBA playoff game was expected to preempt Dynamite. Due to a series ending early, that wasn’t the case and thus, the regularly scheduled two hour edition aired instead.

The Tuesday special will air after that night’s NBA playoff game and post-game coverage on TNT, likely around midnight Eastern.

This will be Sydal’s first match since he made his promotional debut at All Out in the Casino Battle Royale while Spears (with Tully Blanchard) has won eight straight singles matches dating back to mid-June.

The card will feature two other matches as well as Chris Jericho on commentary

  • Scorpio Sky vs. Ben Carter: Sky had his recent win streak snapped in a loss to then-TNT Champion Cody in mid-August while Carter impressed in his AEW debut against Ricky Starks on a recent episode of Dark.
  • Brandi Rhodes vs. Anna Jay: Jay locked on a rear naked choke on Rhodes as she attempted to save her husband, Cody, following his TNT title loss to Brodie Lee.
