AEW announces WrestleDream 2026 date and location
Orlando, Florida is set to host AEW WrestleDream 2026.
It was announced today that the WrestleDream pay-per-view will take place from Addition Financial Arena on Saturday, October 17. This is the third time Orlando has hosted an AEW PPV, following Worlds End 2024 and Revolution 2022. Tickets are going on sale to the general public next Monday (August 10).
While speaking with the Orlando Sentinel about the announcement, Tony Khan said he’s excited to keep adding to Florida’s wrestling history.
“One of the matches that I was so excited to see as a young fan trading tapes of wrestling on the internet, when I was in junior high, was Ric Flair vs. Barry Windham from the Battle of the Belts in Orlando,” Khan said. “That’s just one of so many great matches and rivalries in Florida, and we’re glad to add to that history.”
Addition Financial Arena is a 10,000-seat venue located on the campus of the University of Central Florida.
WrestleDream first took place in 2023 as a tribute to Japanese wrestling legnd Antonio Inoki, who Khan calls “pro wrestling’s greatest dreamer.” Seattle, Tacoma, St. Louis, and now Orlando are the cities that have hosted the event. The 2025 edition was headlined by an “I Quit” match between Jon Moxley and Darby Allin.
One thing to watch is the contractual status of WWE star Bayley, who has her deal coming up at some point before the end of 2026. Mercedes Mone shared a fan-made graphic in June teasing the idea that she and Bayley could face off at WrestleDream. It’s unknown if Bayley would be a free agent before this October 17 date or if she even has any interest in switching promotions. If she does test free agency, AEW would be heavily interested.

AEW has now confirmed its PPV schedule through November. All In and All Out will take place ahead of WrestleDream, with Full Gear then happening in November.
